CLASSES

The Knitting Knook offers a variety of classes for all levels and ages. Costs for classes and materials vary. We offer a 10% discount on our materials purchased for classes at the Knitting Knook.

Beginner & Intermediate

 

Designed for the novice knitter, these classes focus on fundamentals and fun projects that are completed by end of class.  All materials purchased for classes will be discounted by 10%.  A $15.00 non-refundable registration fee is required for all classes.  The registration fee will be applied towards your class tuition.

 Summer Schedule

 

 

 

Learn to Knit Sessions

Dates:  July 2, 9, 11 & 16th - August 6 & 13th

Time:  10:30 - 12:30

Cost:  $10 per session, plus materials

Level:  Beginner

For the beginner.  I'll teach you how to cast on, the knit and purl stitches and how to bind off.  You can attend multiple sessions or just one for a refresher.  Come and join us, it's air conditioned inside and we are having a relaxing summer knitting and visiting with other knitters.

 

Learn to Knit next step - Mittens

Dates:  August 8, 15 & 22nd

Time:  10:30 - 12:30

Cost:  $35.00, plus materials

Level:   Beginner

I will teach you how to knit a pair of mittens on straight needles.  This class will teach you how to increase and decrease stitches, read a pattern and to finish off a project.  I also review how to detect and correct errors and pick up dropped stitches.  The skills learned in this class prepare the beginner knitter to be ready to knit a simple sweater.  To sign-up please email www.yarnshop.com or call 357-0516. 

 

 

 

 

Level Key

Beginner:  little or no experience knitting

Advanced Beginner:  Is very comfortable with knit and purl stitches and has made several scarves or other projects.

KNITTING GROUPS-

A gathering to share ideas, learn from one another, meet friends, knit or crochet and have fun! Just drop in, it's free! All are welcome.

 

Times: Tuesday Lunch time group, meets around noon for a few hours, drop in and stay for a bit or for the whole time!

Thursday evenings 6:00 - 8:00
