 Well, the holidays are quickly approaching. Finally, the Knook is fully stocked with the
yarns I ordered in August. All the new yarns are soft and luscious. The corresponding
pattern books for Malabrigo, Rowan and Grignasco (Plymouth Italian yarn) are
interesting and fun to do for every level knitter and crocheter. Also, I have refreshed
the patterns, books, and notions, including some new books and magazines. The
holiday issues for Interweave and Vogue have arrived along with the Jane Austen
magazine which has wonderful patterns. ( In 2012, I am thinking of a Jane Austen
winter weekend retreat.)
This is our first Holiday season on the square and we are very excited to decorate. The
Knook has some decorations but not enough to decorate the Holiday tree. You could
help by lending or donating a homemade yarn ornament. For those that help to
decorate the Knook, your name will be entered into a drawing. In January (date to be
decided), four names will be drawn to win a Knook gift certificate. The first name to be
drawn will receive a 50.00 certificate, the second will receive a 20.00 certificate and the
third and fourth will receive a 10.00 gift certificate. Katherin, Lil and I will also be
making Holiday tree decorations.  The Knook's holiday hours are every Monday Nov.28th to Dec. 26th, we will be opened from 10:0 to 5:00 plus our regular hours.  Christmas Eve we are opened from 10:00 to 3:00, closed Christmas Day.  New Year's eve same as Christmas Eve and closed New Year's Day.  
Lil and I are working on the winter classes and hopefully the class list will be out to you
soon. Nancy Oakes "Design Sweater Class" was a success, Nancy, also taught the
class needle felting as well as finishing techniques. This winter, Nancy will teach a
comfy sock class with needle felting embellishment. She brought in some socks to help
demonstrate needle felting and the socks looked so warm and cozy, I asked her to
teach a class this winter.
Lastly, the Knook will be opened on Mondays, 10:00 - 5:00 starting Nov28th till New
Years
